Our Story

An extension of our mother restaurant located in the heart of Nairobi, Kenya, Savariya, brings a 25-year heritage in serving authentic Indian traditional food, delectable Indian street food and nostalgic Indo-Kenyan food to Sydney siders.

Whether it is Thali's from the different states of India, famous Indo-Kenyan dishes not available anyplace else in Sydney, like maru bhajia and garlic chips, or sweet-tangy-spicy street food that transports you to a busy street in Mumbai, Savariya promises freshness, vibrancy, and zing in every plate that leaves our kitchen.

We take pride in bringing families and friends together to embark on a culinary experience that indulges your taste buds, excites your senses and fills your heart with pure and warm memories of dishes you’ve had in places long left behind. From all you can eat breakfasts, weekend thali specials and catering for all occasions, our dishes have been at the centre of many memories made to last a lifetime.


Our Core Kitchen Team

Bharat, our head chef, born and raised in the royal land of Rajasthan, he discovered his passion in cooking in there and has 15 years of culinary experience developed across vibrant food destinations like Mumbai, Nairobi and famous Indian restaurants in Sydney. He is a master of Indian cuisine and works like an artist while cooking dishes from the streets of Mumbai, the dhabas of North India, homes of Gujarat, temples of South India, palaces of Rajasthan and sweet shops of Delhi.

Anurag, with culinary experience from fast-paced Singapore and restaurants in Sydney, specializes in tandoor and entrees. He does the magic on the tandoor while cooking naans, parathas, roti or the popular bati for Rajasthani thali.

Reena, our in house trained chef who specialises in curries and the delicous snack items.
